North Thoresby Cricket Club is a thriving amateur club at the heart of our village. We proudly compete in the Grimsby & District Midweek Cricket League, offering a competitive yet social brand of cricket that fits perfectly into a busy week.
We are a truly independent, grassroots organisation. Our ground and pavilion aren’t just where we play; they are maintained and managed entirely by a dedicated group of local volunteers. Whether it’s the smell of freshly cut grass or the sound of leather on willow, we pride ourselves on providing an opportunity for sport right here in the parish.
How you can help
To keep the club bowling along, we are always looking for new faces to join our community. You don’t need to be Ben Stokes to get involved!
Players: Whether you’re a seasoned league veteran or haven't picked up a bat since school, we welcome players of all skill levels for our midweek fixtures.

Volunteer Groundkeepers: If you have a green thumb or just enjoy being outdoors, we always need help maintaining the pitch and pavilion.
Match-Day Support: From scoring and umpiring to helping with refreshments, there’s a role for everyone.
Supporters: Sometimes the best thing you can do is come down and support your local team during home games - we've got plenty of chairs!
