About
The group started 15 years ago and is still being well supported with some of the original 6 ladies, plus new members – now 22.
The idea of forming the group at the start was to provide knitted items for charity groups in need.
We are a non-profit group, any money extra to paying expenses goes into buying items for the Shoebox Appeal.
We have provided items for the Premature Babies Unit, Sunflower Club, Abused families in the Grimsby area, YMCA, Salvation Army, Womens’ Aid and 1,000 hats for Ukrainian orphans.
One of our greatest achievements is decorating the Memorial Gardens for Remembrance Day and other special occasions.
Donations of wool is an ongoing request.
Times and Days
We meet in the Wesley Centre on Monday afternoons 2-4pm.
