About
We began as a fundraiser for Lift North Thoresby Primary School to help towards transport costs for a residential trip to Wales. The Sunday Village Café is now run by a core group of volunteers and proceeds go to different community groups.
We have a 5-star rating from the Food Standards Agency and each month is enhanced by helpers from a community group who benefit from that month’s cafe fundraising. Groups who have benefitted include the Cricket Club, St. Helen’s Church and First Responders (we have a volunteer in the village).
We offer fresh, homemade cakes, scones (sweet and savoury), soup, sausage rolls, jacket potatoes with various fillings and bacon and sausage buns. With bottomless cafetière coffee and tea and a variety of cold drinks.
There’s plenty of space for bikes, outdoor seating area and dogs are welcome.
